Monthly Contest for July, 2022

The Big Brother Naija Season 6 tagged “Shine ya eye” was one filled with some highlighted moments some of which were my favorite moments of the season.

Starting off with when Maria and Pere were unveiled as the show’s wild cards. It was sure a surprising moment for all the housemates as no one guessed right who the Wild Cards were which ensured the pair remained on the show to fight for the grand prize. Another instance was Saga and Nini’s relationship. Even though Nini had a partner outside the house, the duo heated up a cosy affair. Talk of Saga sobbing, searching and demanding explanation from Big brother at a point when Nini was whisked away to the white room without any housemate knowledge. It was sure a love-filled moment within those two until their eviction which providentially, was at the same time. Also, Pere and Angel double jeopardy and Pere and Whitemoney’s “major fight” during Pere’s Head of House reign was surely a favorite moment for me at least if not all viewers. “Be like say na Pere be the main attraction sef”.

As much as I (and other viewers) enjoyed the reality TV show, the willing withdrawal of Kayvee from the show due to medical issues was one thing I felt went wrong for me, though it was properly taken care of. I feel that issues relating to such should have been consulted and examined before he was admitted into the house in other to avoid the unthinkable. Nevertheless, he was fine afterwards so it was good.

Nevertheless, as the “Africa’s most popular” reality TV show is set to commence it’s 7th season, there’s a build up of expectations from every viewer. To mention but a few, I personally expect more engaging tasks which will even be more incredible and financially rewarding as activities for the new housemates. Moreover, since the emergence of that 30-minute Showmax show — The Buzz, viewers were able to get all the hidden actions they missed on other channels. I’ll expect it to be broadcasted thrice a week as opposed to the regular twice a week. I’ll  also (as well as other viewers) be glad to have more interesting personalities this season. I mean an exciting mix of people (talk of talented individuals and singles mostly at least to avoid “vawluence” when it comes to flirting, relationships and the sorts that do happen on the show.

Finally, the BBNaija reality TV show is undisputed one with the sauce and juice and I as well as other viewers are excited for the next season set to commence in the fall of July, 2022.
