There is a popular saying in Africa “Time waits for no man” which means that time is constantly moving and not waiting for anyone. Life moves at a very fast pace and most times; we try to catch up. This is one of the reasons why one of the key skills needed to be learned to survive on earth is how to multitask.
Multitasking allows you to do more than one thing at a time so you can achieve more goals within the same limited time frame. But multitasking is sometimes limited due to the fact that some tasks are engrossing. They require you to quit one to be able to focus on the other. You simply can’t juggle the two tasks simultaneously without quitting one for one. Imagine washing and cooking at the same time. The first limitation is, they are carried out in two different locations and the second limitation is that they both require to immerse the use of both hands.
Every day, we make use of our phones. We make use of it anywhere and everywhere. We use it on the bed, in the living room, in the kitchen, outdoors, at work, and even in the toilet. This means we get to carry our phones even to places it doesn’t want to go. And during the course of the day’s activity, we get our hands soiled and messed up, but still, our phones never leave our hands or pocket. We simply want it to be with us so we don’t miss important calls or notifications.
Now, at various points of the day, we get our hands busy; it could be when doing laundry, cooking, washing dishes, eating with hands, etc and during those periods, our hands are unavailable to touch our phones. Touching or using the phone at such times could lead to temporary or even permanent malfunctioning of the phone. It could also lead to water, dust, dirt, or even food particles entering our device or messing op the screen.
The Product Managers at HiOS thought about this problem and came up with a solution that makes you able to interact with your phone without actually touching it. This feature allows you to pick and receive calls on your device without actually touching it. This feature is called GESTURE CALL PICKER.
How does it work?
All you need to do is activate this feature and anytime you receive a call, you can just do some specific hand gestures that would enable you to either pick up the call or reject the call. There are two sings basically. There is the “V” gesture (the peace sign) which accepts the call and the Palm gesture which allows you to reject calls. Once you accept a call, the speaker is automatically activated All these can be don’t without actually touching your phone.
HOW TO ACTIVATE GESTURE CALL PICKER
Activating this feature is very simple and easy. All you need to do is go to settings, click on micro intelligence, then select Answer with a gesture. Once that is done, anytime you receive a call, the V sign and the palm sign appears on the screen in place of the answer and reject button.
This feature is only available on HiOS 5.0 and above
