What are Google Meet and Chat and how do they work?

caaqil22 | 2020-04-2061538

General
Companies are increasingly using virtual meeting and chat services, especially in these times of increased home working. Google has its own tools  - Google Meet and Google Chat. These were formally part of Google Hangouts, and if you have the existing Hangouts app you can still use that. Slack tends to be used by many creative businesses and is the app that kick-started the trend in which businesses now require purpose-built email-banishing tools to help employees communicate. But Microsoft Teams - which works with Office 365 - is now used by 44 million people worldwide. Separately, Facebook also offers Workplace - a mobile and web app that aims to keep team members connected. As has been seen more recently, employees need services that help them to connect over video, and their chat experience has to be collaborative. So, with that in mind, Google has turned Hangouts into two services, Meet and Chat, which are aimed at bringing teams together. Here's everything you need to know about Google Chat and Meet. What are Google Meet and Google Chat? These services form communications services that enable text, voice, or video chats, either one-on-one or in a group. They're are built into Gmail, YouTube, and Google Voice, plus there are apps for iOS, Android, and the web. It's essentially a useful and cost-effective collaboration platform for the average person as well as enterprise customers. Chat is essentially the business counterpart to Google Duo, the consumer video calling app for up to 12 participants. Google Meet is for group calls and meetings Google has described Meet as "a video meeting experience with one goal: make joining meetings effortless". The company wanted to improve Hangouts to make it easier and faster for people start and join video conferences. Hangouts Meet has a very light, fast interface and enables you to easy manage up to 30-person meetings. To instigate meetings you need to have a G Suite account (formerly known as Google Apps) but you can join a meeting with any Google account. Google Chat is for chat communication around teams and projects Chat is "an intelligent communication app for teams that takes direct messaging in Hangouts and evolves it" says Google. The idea behind it is that teams working on a project should be able to discuss tasks, share work, and more - it's more like Slack, really. Chat offers virtual rooms with threaded conversations and integration with other Google products, like Drive. How does Google Meet work? Video conferences To start your meetings, you'll simply share a link. There will be no accounts, plugins, downloads, or hassles required. People can click on this link from Google Calendar, an email invite, or an ad-hoc share. And if you’re dialing in from a conference room, your laptop, or a dedicated mobile app, it's just a few clicks and you’re in. Presentations Meet offers native, full-screen presenting, which makes it easy to showcase your team’s projects. G Suite integration G Suite is Google's package of cloud-based services that can provide your company or school with a new way to work together online. You get a domain name and access to Gmail, Calendar, Drive, and other G Suite services like Meet. For G Suite Enterprise customers, each meeting has a dedicated dial-in phone number. How does Google Chat work? Virtual rooms (channels) Chat features dedicated, virtual rooms for each project your team may have - and they consist of: threaded conversations, so your team can chat and track the progress of the discussion. As you'd expect, it also has deep integration with G Suite, so you can share content from Drive and Docs, or you can view things like photos and videos directly from a conversation. There's also filterable search so you can search back through old discussions. Third-party integrations Chat is a platform, too, so that means you can expect third-party integrations in the form of bots, which will allow your teams to do more within their conversation. It has already teamed up with companies like Asana, Box, Prosperworks and Zendesk.Read all >>

Punch-hole Camera Phones: All You Need to Know

BigBoyEDEM | 2020-04-201925

CAMON 15 Series
This post was last edited by ahiadzro at 2020-4-20 02:33 Punch-hole cameras are the latest trend when it comes to smartphone displays in our never-ending quest to eliminate bezels and notch phones. It's a small, circular cutout on the phone screen to accommodate the front-facing camera. This punch hole camera is normally located either at the left or right side of the phone which impacts the design and sleekness. Although with the introduction of the pop-up camera which added a cool factor; others still wanted their selfie camera where they were. It caught people’s eye by offering something unexpected and did something completely different compared to smartphones in the past. Given the shape and size adapted for strength and robustness, it also offered manufacturers a way to add a bigger lens and more glass to the selfie camera. Tecno mobile is for everyone, so considering people who are not pop-up camera enthusiasts, despite all the positives, the punch-hole camera, Tecno Camon 15 and Camon 15 Air is for you. It's an alternative solution with a much smaller camera with no moving parts and for selfie lovers who love their selfie camera exactly where they are. Below arereasons why punch-hole camera phones are awesome: 1. There are no ugly notches or bezels to look at: The most obvious benefit of a hole-punch solution is that it's far smaller than a notch, thus, it doesn't get in the way of your viewing experience overall. 2. You also get that full-screen experience: Many apps can be designated as full-screen making you extend beyond the hole-punch to the outer edge of the display. 3. The punch-hole camera rests in a good place, adding a level of sleekness and beauty to the phone 4. Easy to get used to: With the punch-hole design, you can barely see the notch at the upper side of your screen display which is really nice. The fact it isn’t centered also makes it hard to distract you compared to other notch design. 5. Limited distractions and easy navigation: You won’t experience any distractions on your screen while using your phone. So, when you’re watching a movie or playing a game on your smartphone, the hole is down in one of the corners and less noticeable causing no distractions. Also, you navigate through the status bar seamlessly – you don’t have to worry about the notch taking significant space on your smartphone. PS: Every phone needs a gentle touch and since Pros goes with Cons, I would edge you to treat your phone like a diamond, however, if you turn out to be careless, Carlcare would be ready to assist. How to Take Good Photos With Your Phone: 10 Tips & Tricks

TECNO SPOT Official | 2020-04-21232727

Photographies
Before the days of smartphones -- if you can remember such a time -- taking a great photo was a labor-intensive process. You'd have buy a fancy camera and editing software for your desktop computer, and invest some serious time and energy into learning how to use them. But, thanks to our mobile devices and the editing apps that come with them, we can now take high-quality photos and edit them without too many bells and whistles -- all from the same device that we use to make calls. 1. Use gridlines to balance your shot. One of the easiest and best ways to improve your mobile photos is to turn on the camera's gridlines. That superimposes a series of lines on the screen of your smartphone's camera that are based on the "rule of thirds" -- a photographic composition principle that says an image should be broken down into thirds, both horizontally and vertically, so you have nine parts in total. According to this theory, if you place points of interest in these intersections or along the lines, your photo will be more balanced, level, and allow viewers to interact with it more naturally.Source: Digital Photography School To switch the gride on... (CAMON 15 Premier-Camera>>Setting>>Grid>>On) 2. Set your camera's focus. If you're taking a photo of something in motion, for example, it can be difficult for your camera to follow this subject and refocus as needed. Tap the screen to correct your phone camera's focus just before snapping the picture to ensure the moving subject has as much focus as possible. A square or circular icon should then appear on your camera screen, shifting the focus of your shot to all of the content inside that icon. 3. Focus on one subject. Many of the best photos include just one, interesting subject. So when taking a picture of one, spend some extra time setting up the shot. Some professional photographers say that the subject shouldn't fill the entire frame, and that two-thirds of the photo should be negative space -- that helps the subject stand out even more.Source: Patrick Janelle 4. Embrace negative space. When you include a lot of empty space in a photo, your subject will stand out more and evoke a stronger reaction from your viewer. And what does negative space looks like? It's often a large expanse of open sky, water, an empty field, or a large wall, as in the examples below.Source: Eric Christian 5. Find different perspectives.Taking photos from a unique, unexpected angle can make them more memorable -- it tends to create an illusion of depth or height with the subjects. It also makes the image stand out, since most mobile photos are taken either straight -on or from a bird's eye view. Source: Paul Octavious 6. Play with reflections. There's something so idyllic about seeing the sky reflected in a body of water. There's a reason why we love seeing that -- our eyes are drawn to reflections. So look for opportunities to play with them in photos. There are plenty of out-of-the-box places to find reflections -- puddles, larger bodies of water, mirrors, sunglasses, drinking glasses, and metallic surfaces are just a few.Source: Joshua Lott; Carlos Copertone 7. Use leading lines.Leading lines are great for creating a sense of depth in an image, and can make your photo look purposefully designed -- even if you just happened to come upon a really cool shape by accident.Source: Carlos Copertone; Paul Octavious 8. Look for symmetry.Symmetry can be defined as "a vague sense of harmonious and beautiful proportion and balance." And pictures that contain symmetry can be incredibly pleasing to the eye -- it's also one of the simplest and most compelling ways to compose a photo.Source: Eric Christian; Carlos Copertone 9. Keep an eye out for repetitive patterns.Repetitive patterns are very pleasing to the eye -- they appear whenever strong graphic elements are repeated over and over again, like lines, geometric shapes, forms, and colors. These patterns can make a strong visual impact, and photographing something like a beautiful, tiled floor can be enough to create a striking image. Other times, it's more fun to keep an eye out for where they appear naturally or unintentionally, like with the congruent fire escapes on the left.Source: Patrick Janelle 10. Play around with color blocking.Isn't it cool when an entire photo is black and white, except for a single object? It turns out that yes, indeed, there are apps for that. One of our favorites is Touch Color -- an app that automatically converts a picture to grayscale and lets you fill in the parts you want to colorize.Color blocking can help to highlight the elements of a photo that you want to stand out, like a plant or something else with a bold hue. It achieves a similar goal as negative space, in that it can help a single subject stand out -- but with color blocking, the photo's other elements remain intact for a cohesive image.Source: Coloring Pages Now take your phone and snap the amazing moments in life! Technology News | Netflix’s New Parental Control Options | How to Use Them.

caaqil22 | 2020-04-212587

General
Netflix has some really amazing content for kids on its platform. Likewise, there are loads of inappropriate content kids could come across. And if you have kids, with this Coronavirus-induced lockdown, it is almost impossible to stop them from watching videos on Netflix. However, Netflix understands that working remotely, and monitoring content your kids see on the streaming service during the lockdown can be a real challenge. This is why it has introduced a range of new parental controls to help control what they have access to. According to information on Netflix's blog, the parental control update is coming based on feedback from members. Here’s a list of the new parental options and how to use them. Netflix’s New Parental Control. Pin Protection. This option lets you protect every other profile on your Netflix account with a pin. This way, you can keep your own profile out of the reach of kids, and limiting them to only their own profile. Filter Content by Rating. Netflix has now built a filter using individual country ratings. This means users can now filter out movies and series that are not appropriate for their kids. For instance, you can now block content on Netflix rated 13+ off your kids’ profile. Remove Individual Series or Movies. However, if the filter option doesn’t do the job completely, you can as well remove content individually. There are contents with the right rating and are seen as appropriate for kids but still contain violent and adult scenes. You might want to restrict your kids from seeing those. In fact, you definitely should. Also, you can check your kids viewing activities; view the log of all that your kids have been watching with the profile you created for them. You can also turn off auto-play preview of movies and auto-play next episode for your kids. How to Set Parental Control. Go to Account settings on your computer or smartphone. From the “Profile & Parental controls” section, select the dropdown menu for ‘Kids’ or any other profile you want to restrict, and you will find all the new parental control options there. Take Charge. Netflix has given parents and guardians more ways to be in the driving seat of content their kids view on the platform. Do you think these new parental control options are enough? Also, let us know in the comment section if you want to see Netflix introduce even stricter options.Read all >>

Mobile Photography Tips and Tricks

BigBoyEDEM | 2020-04-143687

Photographies
This post was last edited by ahiadzro at 2020-4-23 05:37 With the introduction of the Camon 15 series with TAIVOS, mobile photography would surely be on the rise. To my selfie addicts, Camon CEOs, and photography lovers, here are a few tips and tricks for you to maximize your experience. Keep the lens cleanThis might seem obvious, but it’s something that often goes unnoticed. Phones tend to gather dust and fingerprints that can cover the lens. A dirty lens will often result in pictures that seem cloudy, as the oils and dirt can diffuse and diffract light entering the lens. If you happen to carry around a microfiber cloth, use it. If you don’t, a simple wipe with a clean, dirt-free area of shirt should get the job done in a pinch, but beware that clothing fibers could scratch the lens. Use the 'rule of thirds' to compose beautiful mobile photosGetting sharp, well-exposed photos is crucial. But composition is equally important. Good composition is what sets apart an average photo from an amazing one. Composing a visually pleasing image involves careful positioning of the important elements in the frame. So how do you decide where to place your main subject or focal point? The “rule” states that you should position the most important elements off-center – rather than in the middle of the frame. This creates more balanced and natural compositions –compositions that are engaging and pleasing to the eye. Fortunately, the Tecno camera has a handy tool to help you compose using the rule of thirds. It’s called the camera grid. To switch on the gridlines, openyour camera app, click on settings andselectgrid Pay attention to the lightingLighting is, without comparison, the important aspects of photography. After all, the word “photography” effectively translates to “painting with light.”The direction, color, and harshness of a light source can have dramatic effects on a photograph. This is why professional photographers will often have strobes, reflectors, and other devices to manipulate lighting. If you’re using your phone to take photos, chances are you’re in a situation where light sources are more or less out of your control. As such, it’s important to take advantage of the light one has, as best as one can. A general rule to follow is to make sure that the primary source of light, be it the sun or a lightbulb, is behind you, shining on the subject of the photo. Try viewing the subject from different angles as well; the light hitting the side of a person’s face can result in a very different portrait than if the lighting is hitting the front of their face.Of course, as with all artistic endeavors, experimentation can be much better than rigid adherence. Try taking advantage of strange lighting situations like sunsets for more unique photos. Avoid using flashWhile flash is ostensibly good for taking photos in low-light environments, in general, it tends to make smartphone photos worse than if you were to go without it. When taking pictures, the flash can produce unwanted artifacts, such as glowing eyes or overly-lit skin — even on the best smartphone. Of course, there are situations where flash is necessary or even useful (try using it under bright sunlight, as a way to illuminate a subject), but for the most part, try to use natural light as often as possible. Never use digital zoomAnother thing that should be avoided at all costs is the digital zoom function on your camera. This is because the zoom function on most phones doesn’t work in the same way a normal camera would. When you use a camera with an optical zoom, the lens adjusts its inner optical elements, enabling it to increase or decrease its focal length. The digital zoom on a smartphone doesn’t do this. Instead, it merely zooms into the photo by effectively cropping in, making subjects appear closer, but with loss infidelity. The only good way to photograph something far away is to actually get closer. Use HDR for evenly-lit photos with amazing detailTaking photos of high-contrast scenes can be a problem when it comes to exposure. A high-contrast scene has both dark and bright areas– such as a landscape with a bright sky and dark foreground. When you take a photo, the camera struggles to capture detail in both the shadows (dark areas) and the highlights (bright areas). You’ll usually end up with one of two problems: Either the highlights will be correctly exposed, but the shadows will appear too dark or the shadows will be correctly exposed, but the highlights will appear too bright. To solve this, use HDR. HDR stands for High Dynamic Range. And it allows you to capture detail in both the shadows and the highlights. Just open your camera app and tap on HDR. Experiment with different editing apps, and saving the photosWhen used properly, filters and digital editing can be a great tool for expression. In addition to the stock camera apps, there are multitude of other camera apps available for Android, as well as apps for editing photos. Experiment with different apps and tools to find the best look for the job.Remember that photography is an art, and like any art, knowing the rules is important, as is breaking them. Use the aforementioned tips to improve your photos, but do not be afraid to experiment. Read all >>

some discuss with camon15pro macro camera

This post was last edited by Tanvir at 2020-4-20 18:18 what is macro photography? Macro photography (or photomacrography or macrography, and sometimes macrophotography, is extreme close-up photography, usually of very small subjects and living organisms like insects, in which the size of the subject in the photograph is greater than life size (though macrophotography technically refers to the art of making very large photographs). By the original definition, a macro photograph is one in which the size of the subject on the negative or image sensor is life size or greater. However, in some uses it refers to a finished photograph of a subject at greater than life size. The ratio of the subject size on the film plane (or sensor plane) to the actual subject size is known as the reproduction ratio. Likewise, a macro lens is classically a lens capable of reproduction ratios of at least 1:1, although it often refers to any lens with a large reproduction ratio, despite rarely exceeding 1:1 Apart from technical photography and film-based processes, where the size of the image on the negative or image sensor is the subject of discussion, the finished print or on-screen image more commonly lends a photograph its macro status. For example, when producing a 6×4 inch (15×10 cm) print using 35 format (36×24 mm) film or sensor, a life-size result is possible with a lens having only a 1:4 reproduction ratio. Reproduction ratios much greater than 10:1 are considered to be photomicrography, often achieved with digital microscope (photomicrography should not be confused with microphotography, the art of making very small photographs, such as for microforms). Due to advances in sensor technology, today’s small-sensor digital cameras can rival the macro capabilities of a DSLR with a "true" macro lens, despite having a lower reproduction ratio, making macro photography more widely accessible at a lower cost. In the digital age, a "true" macro photograph can be more practically defined as a photograph with a vertical subject height of 24 mm now tecno camon15pro macro photography mud 2cm Macro Photography The extreme 2cm close - up shot lets you discover the unseen beauty of the minor things around you Read all >>
