ARE YOU A STUDENT OR PARENT LOOKING FOR ONLINE LEARNING RESOURCES?yusufaliu | 2020-04-16161698 General
Hello T-fans, with the ongoing corona virus pandemic which has seen different measures put in place globally to curtail its spread, one of which is the "stay home, stay safe" preventive measure which has placed students temporarily out of school, learning from home is now the new norm for a lot of students. Whether you are a student looking for online learning resources or you are a parent looking for one to engage your kids in, here's a list to help you with that.
(1) Project Gutenberg: Project Gutenberg is an online library, offering more than 60,000 free ebooks in an epub or kindle ebook format. (2) Coursera: Coursera is an online school of some sort. It has a variety of lessons and classes that you can take. Each one educates you on a different topic. It boasts of 1000 courses ranging from math to science and even technological stuffs. The classes have lectures, reading assignments, and video content. Finishing a course will even earn you a certificate of completion. Some of the courses are free. Others you’ll have to pay for. It’s a delightful mix of old school and modern learning.
(3) Khan Academy: Khan Academy is a popular online resource for learning. It teaches more traditional subjects like math, science, physics, economics, and many others. It’s usually the kind of stuff that targeted learning apps (like coursera and udemy) don’t focus on too much. The app boasts access to over 1000 videos along with various lessons and courses. You can use it to learn new concepts or brush up on older stuff. Khan Academy’s big claim to fame is that it’s completely free to use with no fees or hidden costs. That makes it one of the best learning apps on a budget. There is also a kid’s version for youngsters out there.
(4) Open Culture: In recent years, universities from across the globe have made many of their lectures available online for free. This includes world-renowned institutions like Harvard, Oxford, MIT and many others. The best way to access them is through Open Culture. This website has gathered over 1,500 courses and helpfully separated them into different categories. You will find video lectures on almost anything from Archaeology, to Physics, to Linguistics. It’s one of the most valuable free learning resources on the web.
(5) Google Scholar:Instead of using Google’s regular search where news articles and other posts will inevitably spring up, this tool allows you to search for scholarly literature only. Google Scholar provides a simple way to broadly search for scholarly literature. You can search across many disciplines and sources: articles, theses, books, abstracts and court opinions, from academic publishers, professional societies, online repositories, universities and other websites. It has courses on things like Adobe apps, Microsoft apps, and you can even learn things like public speaking, cooking, and other stuff. There are a variety of courses for free or you can pay to get one of the more in-depth ones. The courses usually revolve around video lectures with video examples. Thus, the app lets you watch them as you please. Some of them could use a little work, but overall it’s a positive experience.
(9) WolframAlpha: WolframAlpha is a serious app for serious scholars. It has a calculator along with a wealth of information about a ton of topics. Some of them include various types of mathematics, statistics, data analysis, physics, chemistry, engineering, astronomy, units of measurement, weather, geography, and plenty more. You basically ask it for stuff and it’ll show you either what it is or how to do it yourself. The Wolfram Group has a bunch of additional educational tools, including courses for various types of math, reference guides for things like fractals and fractions, and more. Some course and a few other things cost additional money and are separate apps from Wolfram Alpha.
(10) YouTube Learn@Home: Launched last month, this tool was created in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. YouTube Learn@Home is designed to assist families in home education. It helps students find the best educational content on the video platform. You can explore learning by subject or age from preschool to 13-years and above, there is something for everyone. Content is sourced from great channels like PBS Kids, Sesame Street, Crash Course, and many others. YouTube Learn@Home also has compiled a great list of virtual “field trips” which can be enjoyed in VR or in 360-degree videos.

TAIVOS™ enables up to 15-frame synth with an imaging time of just 4.68 seconds– most other smartphones only achieve this in 5.5 seconds or maybe even 7 seconds. That means that the photographs shot with TAIVOS™ are built from a composite of 15 image frames that can be analyzed and recombined pixel-for-pixel, vividly capturing each element in your scenes with optimal contrast. This technology really benefits photography lovers throughout the day, including during the night, since evening shades naturally tend to run together and darken after nightfall. Consumers will be amazed by those great photos as TAIVOS™ is able to filter out image noise and optimize image clarity to deliver clear, balanced, vivid photographs even in low- to lower-light conditions.

Open the Skype app on your Android smartphone and make sure that you’re running the latest version (it works for Android 6.0 and higher). Before you get started, you’ll have to give the app permission to access audio and video recording capabilities on your device.
Now navigate to a conversation where you want to share your screen and tap on the “Video Call” button.
Once the call has been accepted, you’ll see the familiar video calling interface. Here, tap on the three-dot Menu button in the bottom-right corner.
Now, choose the “Share screen” option.
Android will ask you if you want to share your screen using the Skype app. Here, tap on “Start Now”. If you don’t want the app to ask you every time you use the feature, check the “Don’t Ask Again” box.
The screen sharing will begin. You can exit the Skype app and switch to the app or the screen you want to show to the person on the other end of the call.
Once you’re done, you can come back to the Skype app and then tap on the “Stop sharing” button at the top of the screen to stop sharing your screen.

How to Exercise at Home Without Equipment.caaqil22 | 2020-04-0111981 General
Many people today are so busy, they simply might not have time to go to the gym for their workouts. Gyms are notorious for charging a lot of money and requesting annual contracts which may be followed by cancellations fees etc. I personally think that gyms are a waste of money; in fact 80% of people who buy a gym membership end up not going anyway.
In this instructable, I will teach you how to perform workouts at home without any equipment. The body is the best equipment you need in most cases (especially if you are just starting).Step 1: Planning Out Your Routine.
You do not want to workout the same body part every day or every 2 days. Your body will need to recover, so you can perform exercises which will work your shoulders and biceps on Monday, do some cardio on Tuesday, do Yoga on wednesday, legs on Thursday, etc.
This way individual body parts can recover the muscle mass and be ready to start getting torn up again the following week. I always suggest 1 or 2 rest days per week. Some people take just a Sunday off and some workout 2 days on and 1 day off. It really depends on your personal goals and abilities.
Step 2: Exercises to Work Your Upper Body.
There are a number of different upper body exercise you can perform without any equipment. Check out the list below and mix and match them in your routine:
Push ups: My favorite exercise. In fact you can do push ups so many different ways: regular, military, diamond, wide, declined, etc. Ladies, don't be afraid of the push up!
Chair Dips: Another great exercise to target the triceps area (in the back of the arms).
Plank: Just like a push up, this exercise also has a lot of variations. You can simply hold a plank position for a minute, you can do walk walkups, plank walkouts, planks with twists, etc.
Arm Circles: This may sound easy, but after a while of doing arm circles your muscles will start to get sore. It's also a great way to stretch out your muscles.
Step 3: Exercises to Work Your Legs.
Don't forget those legs. It seems like many people focus so much on other body parts while walking around with puny legs. Legs have the biggest muscles in the body, so if you start working them out then you will actually start burning way more calories undefined
Here are some of the exercises for legs:
Squats: yeah baby! You can do slow and steady squats or speed squats to get your heart rate up. You can also do a jump squat to get work on your legs and to get your heart rate up.
Lunges: Lunging will get your legs burning! Lunges can be done in a number of different ways, a regular lunger, reverse lunge, step up lunge (you can use a chair to step onto), side lunge.
Wall Sit: You can start doing wall sits for 10 seconds at a time and work yourself up to a minute or more. Make sure not to touch your legs with your hands when you are performing these and have your knees bend at a 90 degree angle.
Jumping Jacks: Good ol' jumping jacks, remember doing those in middle school?
Calf Raises: Calf is another body part that doesn't get much attention. Do these slowly or quickly for different results.
Bicycles: This is not just a leg exercise, you may feel it in your stomach as well. Do regular bicycles and reverse bicycles for ultimate workout.
Step 4: Exercises to Work Your Core.
Core exercises are not all about sit ups, in fact I don't really like doing sit ups because they don't do much.
Pick from the exercise below:
Plank: although variations of planking is great for arms, it sure is amazing for the core.
V-Bend: This is an awesome exercise. You can do reps or hold it for extended time to feel the burn.
Scissors: If you've never done this exercise, then you are in for a surprise! It will burn so good! Make sure to hold your reps for 3 to 4 seconds before you switch your legs.
Burpees!: Enough said.. look up what a Burpee looks like and get going!! Add a oush up in between to work on your arms.
Step 5: Combination Exercises for a Full Body Workout.
Full body exercises are a great way to workout multiple muscle groups at the same time. It will not only save time, but it will also burn more calories. The key to performing full body exercises is to do them intensely with a little down time.. only 20-30 seconds between sets (and to rehydrate).
Here are some of the full body exercises:
Burpees! This is by far is the best full body exercise.
Squat Jumps: This exercise does not only work your legs, but you are also burning calories by jumping up in the air.
Dumbbell Squats or Lunges: While performing leg exercises you are also working your arms. You can use water bottles instead of dumbbells.
Push Up With Single Leg Raise: This exercise works on arms as well as thighs and buttocks.
Overhead Medicine Ball Slams: This exercise works arms, back, shoulders, and even thighs. Although I concentrate on no equipment exercise, I added this one in here because it's such as awesome exercise and you would only need to get one medicineball and incorporate it into many other exercises at home.
Step 6: Safety Rant.Always make sure to stretch before and after your workouts. Your muscles need to be loosened up so that you do not injure yourself.
If you are using weights at home, make sure not to start small and increase as you go. This also goes for using the body; for example, if you cannot do a regular push up, go to your knees so that you are pushing less weight. As you get stronger, you will be able to increase the weight or the intensity during your workouts. Don't try to be a hero and end up hurting yourself.#StayHome#KeepFit

TOP 15 RETRO GAMES ON ANDROIDyusufaliu | 2020-04-1252736 General
This post was last edited by yusufaliu at 2020-4-12 21:13
Retro games have always had a certain charm. They evoke nostalgia and make us think of the old days when graphics didn’t matter as much as they do now. If you’re looking to get your hands dirty with a bit of nostalgic gaming, we have the best retro games currently available on Android.
BEAMDOG GAMES (6 Titles): Beamdog is a developer on Google Play. They’ve remastered four retro games. The available titles include Baldur’s Gate, Baldur’s Gate II, Planescape: Torment, Icewind Dale, Neverwinter Nights, and Seige of Dragonspear. These are all early 2000’s-style RPGs with vast world, deep story lines, and tons of game play. Each one can easily go for four or five dozen hours. The UI feels cramped on smaller displays. These games are best on larger displays like big phones or tablets. Otherwise, these are all classics. They run 3,725 naira each.
BEAT COP: Beat Cop is a good retro Noir game set in the 1980’s. You play as Jack Kelly, a disgraced former detective on the beat cop grind. You were framed for murder, your new boss is horrible, and your wife is a money sucking leech. The player grapples with these obstacles while trying to find out who framed them for murder. The graphics help set the old school ambiance and the mechanics are also engaging. Full version cost 1,900 naira.
CASTLEVANIA: Symphony of the night: Castlevania: Symphony of the Night is a port of the popular PlayStation game from 1997. The game is a faithful port of the original classic with some modern add-ons. They include full compatibility with game controllers along with on-screen controls, various achievements, support for six languages, and a new continue feature. The game plays like classic Castlevania. It’s an arcade-platformer with some hack-and-slash and horror elements. It’s an excellent overall translation and it’s only 1,100 naira with no additional in-app purchases or ads.
CROSSY ROAD: Crossy Road is an iconic retro mobile game. It’s this generation’s version of Frogger. You bounce a chicken across various roads and streams. You must also avoid obstacles and employ proper timing. It’s a simple arcade game that is both family friendly and actually fun. There are also a variety of unlockable characters as well as Android TV support. It hits all of the right buttons. The same developers also did Pac-Man 256 and Shooty Skies.
DOTEMU GAMES: Dotemu is a developer on Google Play with some truly excellent retro style games. Many of them are ports of popular old games like Ys Chronicles 1 and 2, R-Type I and II, and some older arcade classics like Double Dragon, Another World, and I Have No Mouth. The games seem to be mostly RPG, arcade, adventure, and horror with some beat ’em ups thrown in for good measure. The most expensive game in Dotemu’s lineup cost 3,650 naira on google playstore with no in-app purchases or ads.
EVOLAND 1 & 2: Evoland 1 and 2 are modern mobile games with retro gaming elements. It’s difficult to express their genre. Both games encompass a variety of styles, graphical designs, and game play mechanics. That includes RPG, fighter, top-down shooter, trading card game, platformer, hack-and-slash, and others. These are great games for people who just like old styles but aren’t married to a specific type or genre of game. The first one is fairly inexpensive. Evoland 2 is newer and, thus, more expensive by comparison. Both are excellent games. Doom and Destiny Advanced is another excellent, original, retro-style JRPG.
KAIRASOFT GAMES: Kairosoft is yet another developer on Google Play. Most of their games have a retro theme and feel to them. Some of the more popular games include Grand Prix Story 2, Ninja Village, Game Dev Story, and The Manga Works. All the games have varying mechanics. However, they do all share a simulation element. In Grand Prix Story 2, you race cars, but you also run a race car business. In Ninja Village, you do combat for regional dominance, but you also much build the ninja village. You see where this is going. The graphics are charming and the game play typically isn’t difficult to learn. Some of the games are freemium, others are pay-once titles.
MINECRAFT: Minecraft is a classic. The decidedly retro graphics have long been a part of the game’s charm. It also features tons of stuff to craft, kill, explore, and do. Updates in 2017 gave the game cross-platform support. You can play the same worlds on your computer as you can on your Xbox and mobile versions. The games are all basically the same at this point. The game runs for 1,495 naira. With in-app purchase of character skins & Minecraft Realms add-ons.
OLD SCHOOL RUNESCAPE: Old School RuneScape is, well, RuneScape. This game originally launched in 2001 and that makes it retro by today’s standards. It’s the full game without any compromises. The subscription costs, in-world activities, and all of that is identical to the web version. There is a free version with a bunch of stuff to do. However, the subscription makes the world about three times larger with more skills, more quests, and a ton of extra bank slots. It’s one of the few MMORPGs that doesn’t rely on freemium tactics to earn a buck.
OK GOLF: OK Golf is reminiscent of old arcade golf games. This one is about as retro arcade as it gets on mobile for golf, anyway. You drag back and release to launch the ball. There are no clubs or anything like that to distract from the experience. The game also features unlockable courses, secret areas, and challenges. There is even an online multiplayer mode and that adds a bit of modern flair to a classic premise. This one is inexpensive at 1,060 naira. There are no additional in-app purchases or advertisements.
RAW FURY: Raw Fury is a developer on Google Play with some truly entertaining retro games. The developer has a few decent titles, including Kathy Rain (point-and-click adventure), Whispers of the Machine (Sci-Fi Noir, mysery), Dandara (platformer/Metroidvania), and Bad North: Jotunn Edition (RTS). Each game is surprisingly well done and are excellent examples of retro games in each one’s genre. They also represent something a little different from the usual array of arcade fighters and platformers that usually dominate lists like this.
SEGA FOREVER GAMES: SEGA has a bunch of retro games in their SEGA Forever collection. Some of the titles include Sonic the Hedgehog, Altered Beast, Golden Axe, Phantasy Star II, Ristar, Comix Zone, Kid Chameleon, and several others. Each game has their own sets of mechanics. However, they all share a common theme: they’re old SEGA games. You can play each one for free with ads. There is an optional 700 naira purchase for removing advertisements. It’s a veritable treasure trove of retro games goodness.
SLAYAWAY CAMP & FRIDAY THE 13th: Slayaway Camp and Friday the 13th are horror games with retro puzzle elements. Slayaway Camp features tons of gore, unlockable characters, 140 levels, and a hair metal-inspired soundtrack. Friday the 13th features 100 levels, all of the various varieties of Jason Vorhees, tons of gore, and more. Both games are by the same developer. The gore would be worrisome if it weren’t the same style of graphics as Minecraft. It helps take the edge off of how truly brutal these games can be.
SQUARE ENIX: Square Enix is among the best developers for retro games. They ported many of their old console classics to mobile with a bit of modern flair. Some of the titles include several main Final Fantasy games, several main Dragon Quest games, Adventures of Mana, Secret of Mana, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy Tactics: WotL, The World Ends With You, and many others. Those looking for jRPG retro games should definitely start here. The games are a bit expensive, though (4,980 naira). However, you are purchasing a complete port of these old games with no ads or in-app purchases to gum up the works.
SKYFORCE RELOADED: It doesn’t get much more old school than top-down aerial shooters. Sky Force Reloaded is exactly that. It features a bunch of levels, upgradeable ships, simple controls, and plenty of mini-missions to do. The graphics aren’t retro, but everything else about it feels like the 1990’s. It is a freemium title with a few of the usual pitfalls.
So that's it for the best retro games on android. If we've missed any great retro games, let us know in the comment box.

13 Easter Activities For Adults, Because Fun Isn't Only For KidsTECNO SPOT Official | 2020-04-13202590 Health
Dear T-fans,for the downtime you have between all the adulting on Easter, here are 13 adult Easter activities that will help you have a fun day, too.
1. Adult Egg Hunt
ArtMarie/E+/Getty Images
2. Lucky Lotto Egg HuntIf you want to do an Easter egg hunt for adults, but don't want it to be alcohol-related, go for every grown-up's next favorite thing: money. Have everyone geta plastic egg or two with a scratch ticket inside, and then hide them all around for your family members (or quarantine buddies) to find. It's an inexpensive way to spread cash around, and if you're lucky, someone will win big and share the love.
3. Plastic Egg Truth Or DareAdd a little juvenile fun to your adult Easter with a good old-fashioned game of truth or dare. This one requires a little creativity and your Zoom app. Get all of your friends on a Zoom call this Easter and tell them to fill plastic eggs with slips of paper that either have a "truth" question written on them, or some kind of dare. Each person will pick out eggs for other players. If someone pulls an egg for someone and the other player doesn't like it, they aren't allowed to pick for that person again — the player either has to do what the egg asks, or take a drink.

5. Egg TapOne of my favorite traditions as a kid was the annual egg tap game. The rules are simple: everyone grabs a hard boiled egg and goes around in a circle using their egg to try and crack the person's egg next to you without cracking your own. To give it an adult twist, you can give away a bottle of wine or champagne for the person whose egg cracks last. This can be played with both the adults and children in the family, so you don't have to worry that you can't invite any other outside guests to join.
6. Beautiful Egg HuntSure, any adult would love to open up a plastic egg and find some booze inside, but if you happen to be quarantined with your girl gang this Easter, make your egg hunt beautiful. Hide plastic eggs filled with mini nail polishes, lip stick, eye shadows, face mask packets, and sample sizes of your favorite beauty products. Everyone will be happy with a mini beauty kit.
7. BrunchIf your Easter is going to be sans-children or family, gather up your grown-up friends via and throw a fun and boozy virtual brunch. Make a mimosa or Bloody Mary bar, try some new brunch recipes, and don't be shy with the Plus, with everyone in their own homes, you don't have to share your waffles with anyone. Who says you can't party on a Sunday?
8. Schedule A Family Zoom Call
9. Easter Makeup LooksEvery holiday offers the great opportunity to create a fun and festive makeup look. For Easter, whether you choose to use pastel colors or draw zig-zag lines, it can be fun to play around with your face. Once you're done, you can even post a totally cute Easter look on your Instagram. Plus, now that you're an adult, there's a lot more you can probably do artistically that just painting on bunny whiskers.
10. Cook Your FavoritesEverything can be so rushed on Easter with all the guests set to arrive early. This year, you can take advantage of the social distancing guidelines and take your time cooking dinner without feeling like you have a deadline. With no guests, there's no worry. Cook at your own pace and then sit and relax to eat your meal on your own time. You might even be able to try out that new recipe you've been itching to attempt.
11. Order TakeoutIf you don't even feel like cooking for this Easter, you don't have to. With no guests on their way, you can just sit back and get your favorite food delivered to your home. This way, you get to relax and still eat chow down on your Easter faves — you just don't have to be the one to cook them.
12. Sleep InEaster may usually be a hectic and stressful time just because of all the work that has to go into the preparation. But without having to attend to guests or a bunch of kids this year, you can give yourself the morning off and sleep in or even nap in the middle of the day. You'll be able to start your day at your own pace and celebrate the holiday in a more relaxed state of mind.
13. Easter Gift SwapChristmas isn't the only time to give gifts, and thanks to this great idea courtesy, you can spread the love on Easter, too. While you may not be able to physically exchange gifts this year, you and your friends can always send little trinkets to each other's houses to spread the Easter joy. Whether you have a book delivered or Edible Arrangements, it's a great way to brighten up everyone's Easter.
